Pretty Interesting...

All I can think about right now are those intense drums at the beginning. Didn't see that coming. I think I'm hearing a little stutter or pause or whatever you would like to call it during the beat but that could just be in my head. It's really different to hear a song thats classified as "dance" that doesn't involve super saws or some crazy all over the place in your face stutter like a mofo lead. It's a nice changed of pace for sure. Good job doing something different.

KSBeats responds:

I actually put in dance because I've heard of other like it and they were classified as dance :P, but Thank you for your review

You've got yourself a challenge here....

Cause this is one of those songs that I really like. Plus, we all know my opinion trumps all!!! Only kidding mate. On topic though, it sounds like you have most of the instruments in key and doing exactly what their supposed to be doing. The only downfall here is that the story behind the song is completely gone now without the vocals. I'll give you props for recreating a classic but I don't think this is the type of remix that fits this song. I'll judge you fairly for what you were doing though mate. Good job :)

Not quite there...

I'm just going to be honest mate, if you're song has no purpose or motivation, it goes from being music to just plain noise. I look forward to the songs you replace this with and there's an occasional note flair that sounds nice but for now I gotta say, go big, or go home :) But like I said, I can't wait to see what you can do in the future. Good luck mate.

Mastermichael64 responds:

Thanks forthe feedback, Why don't you check out the others?

Decent freaking song...

Jason here mentioned you so I couldn't help but check out your music. I gotta say I like the slightly off time clap in this song. That synth at 0:14 is like sex to the ears in my opinion. Its amazing until it has to end. I get the feeling I really shouldn't have said that kind of thing but hey, no regrets. Honestly, I leaned back my head and imagined myself on some sort of tropical resort with no worries and nothing but good times ahead of me. Another plus I gotta give to you is that it loops wonderfully. I didn't notice that this was my second listen through and its grown on me even more. This is a very well done say mate. Keep up the great work!

Or4nges responds:

Glad you liked it! It's awesome to know that people get the same happiness from such a simple song that I do. Makes my day every time I get a review like this :)

Thanks for the kind words, thanks for listening, and also thanks, Jason, for pointing my way :D.

Cuhrazy upbeat...

This is the stuff I wish I could write, but I guess I'm too slow and boring XD To be honest though, it's pretty generic as far as techno goes but as I always say, what the hell is wrong with that. To answer, nothing :D I'm diggin the upbeat bass and the crazy synth line you got going at around 0:30.

One thing I think you could do, which might be pretty cool, is use the synth from the first melody, have the dramatic pause at 0:53 then go into that whacko synth you've got going on. Maybe you could add some variation down the line and add a few more instruments to really liven it up. I wouldn't know for sure though, it's your song. Good job, take it easy mate.

8 cause it's pretty short.

GrayZ responds:

haha thanks man,

yeah im pretty lazy too thats 3why it was short :P thanks for the review man :]

I'm a little confused about the feel of this one..

It kind of feels like its a bit random to me. I don't feel much of a direction. Although for some reason it sounds like I should be traversing a desert. I'm thirsty now, just thinking of all that sand and sunlight. I dunno what you were actually aiming for but that image won't leave my mind. What's there is good. The percussion/drums are hardly audible which for once, actually compliments the track but I feel like they could use a boost albeit a SLIGHT boost. Or maybe the bass. I dunno. This mental desert heat is getting to me :P Either way mate, what you have is alright, just not enough to really understand what the purpose is. Good job though :D

PainasaurusRex responds:

The whole point was for it to be multi use, I mean, I posted it really cause I heard it and thought it would potentially work well in a flash, so I wanted it as backed off as possible. I'm just glad people are getting mental images from this :D Thanks for the rating and taking the time to review, that means a lot.

For a waltz...

Don't ask me why, but I picture myself in renaissance france, wearing a funky mask and dancing with a woman to this song. For what it is, it is well composed. If I were in expect in dancing to waltz, I'd probably point out some *blah* here and some *blah* there but this is nicely done. I'd complain that its too short but like you said, its a fancy restaurant piece, I guess it really doesn't have to be THAT long.

CarlTheVoiceactor responds:

Hey thanks for the review! I'm actually planning to add to this song to make a full one (around 2 minutes or so) in the future so that'll be a bit more of a dance one hopefully. Thanks for the review again!

I feel like...

I should be at the start of some intense boss level. Like bowser's castle in the original mario games, except on acid. The castle where the fireballs are the size of llamas. Odd shaped fireball aside, the song morphs a bit from where it started. This is a difficult song to give critique on. I like the parts that you have and there are some nice variations. I think if you made them flow a little bit better with some nifty transitions and make add a bit more flair you could have a damn cool chiptune. The best advice I can really give though, is to check out what some other artists are doing and mix and match some elements. By the way I like how the opening notes kind of morph into the chiptune style. That was a nice touch.

JosephurusEuphraties responds:

thank you good sir. thats kinda what i was going for. the transitions. idk about the bowsers castle haha. as far as chiptune goes, i do like zen albatross and henry homesweet :D im getting more into the genre as time goes on, however i still need to make a track for dnb cause thats always been my favorie.

You fixed the bird problem :D

And now I love this song even more now that I don't have to listen to birds telling me to get my butt of newgrounds for an extra minute :)

Good job fixing it mate. Oooooooh maybe you could make this loop as well. Sorry, my mind is rambling again. I'll leave you and your relaxing song a nice 10 :D

Ankalegon responds:

thanks for listening again! :)

i had to adjust those birds w audacity (none were harmed in the process).

i entered it as loop but for some reason there's still a gap.

i do want to get that worked out
