I also forgot what I said last time.

Oh well. The extra synths added a bit more power and energy when they're brought in which is awesome because this song already has a nice amount. I actually caught myself humming the main melody for a bit the other day haha. It's still the same song though so I can't say too much more except the changes you made were small but definitely improved the listening experience. Great work!

Good luck (again) with the rap and that glitch is still super sexy :)

Stavier responds:

It's alright man. I think you just gave me an 8 and said you liked the song, lolz. Glad you liked the new additions, thought it gave it more power too :D Ya kno, a lil more oomph! Glad you hummed the melody. For a short song, I thought this was good :P Thanx for the review and glad you still like the glitch ;)

I think...

I'm going to go play Megaman 2 for awhile, or maybe 3. But you're right, I can really hear the influence in this and it's produced quite well. Great job!

KgZ responds:

Hey thanks for the review man :)

I love this.

It was a bit surreal for me. Very progressive which I usually don't care for too much but you pulled it off well and it was very interesting. Transitions were solid, melodies were simple but fit the overall feel quite well and the instrument choice was good. I loved the little breakdown at 2:40 and the buildup that follows. Honestly I don't see a problem with the fade out. It fit with the song quite well since it seemed like everything was fading in and out to begin with. I also like it when you doubled up on your kick and then skipped a beat and came back in at the next one with the cymbal. Lots of little things to just enjoy. Great job mate.

I aim to please. Thanks for the review!

Interesting take on a Nuclear War.

Or surviving one really but either way this is pretty good. It's fairly somber but at the same time it has a touch of happiness to it kind of like you'd be glad to be alive but everything around you is a wreck. The feeling of the song though is hindered by your drums and your bass which are waaaaaaay to loud for something like this. Turn them down and let the strings and piano stand up front where they should be. So work on the mix a bit and maybe through in another section since it feels like it repeats the same things throughout or just make it shorter and you could have a very good song here.

I apreciate the review. This is actually my first time making something like this. I'm still new to FL but I will try to make it flow better next time.

This has got a nice vibe going on.

I like it. It's a little random but it's like you said, fun stuff. This is a little weird for dubstep. Feels like you pushed the wobble to the background and made a trance song with some wobble bass. Don't take that the wrong way though, it's just something different and I can totally respect that. It's like Chillstep or something :P

My only complaint is that it seems a bit repetitive. The sound never really evolves or changes much. Maybe thats what you wanted to do, I dunno. In that case I'll just shut up. And the beat seems to get drowned out eventually when everything kicks in. Regardless, it's a nice track. Well done :)

Xorberax responds:

I agree with everything you stated.
I'm still trying to get a hang on dubstep.

About the genre; I don't really care to make things exactly how the genre should be. I tend to make my own style while influenced by a certain genre.

Very interesting take...

The way the piano and the guitar mixed together in this gave me goosebumps at first. Great mix of instruments there and your own additions fit quite nicely with the piece. I like the little bell sound and the other instrument consistently going on in the background they each added some very nice ambiance to your track. Good job with this mate. You did my favorite LoZ song justice and I give you major props for that because I hear this song raped a lot and it makes me sad.

BarkBarkBOOM responds:

Well I'm happy I made someone happy!

Thanks!

Zero Voters...

Will probably be a staple of NG for as long as its around. Anyway, I enjoy the melodies you have going on in this. Kinda catchy. Takes awhile to get going though, which makes me a sad panda :P

I feel if you got the song moving a bit faster, I don't necessarily mean increase the bpm by that but if you want to you might as well, and varied it up by adding maybe a counter melody or a bridge the song could be truly awesome. Cause right now its the same throughout and while what is there is good, you should add more good.

So excellent work, and keep at it mate :)

stefevr responds:

thanks a lot :) I'll take in consideration what you said and ill go right to working more on it.
Thanks !

Pretty nice.

Great sidechaining going on throughout. The hi hat and the clap are extremely weak. Completely drowned out by your mix. You may want to find a way to boost those up. Maybe add a bit more during the intro, it transitions brilliantly but it's rather bland to listen to for over a minute. The vocals match the instruments brilliantly. Honestly this is really solid. There aren't too many suggestions I can give, you seem to have a solid grasp of what you want to do with the song.

ShootingStar responds:

Alright, I'll go mess with the clap and hi-hat, and yes the clap is pretty weak but I could find a clap that I really liked for the song. I'll keep looking around :)
But thanks for the review! :)

ShootingStar

I'm liking it.

Definitely got a great vibe to it, I have no expertise with 8-bit whatsoever so I'm just going to say great job and your rhyming was awesome as well. This whole thing just works. Reminds me a bit of wandering around through a town an old legend of zelda game when I was young, back when exploring every corner was exciting and new and I was always looking for a new adventure. Anyway, good job mate.

Calamaistr responds:

cool that you think zelda here, wasnt what i was going for, i think more into the final fantasy corner tbh (the early ones).

Fyi i did make a nice 8 bit zelda track too, look it up sometime in my uploads :)
greets.

Excellent take.

This is a very original take on a nintendo classic. I love bellish noise at 0:42, very catchy. I'm loving how you made this so much more upbeat, its got a great feel to it. Makes a battlefield fought by exploding creatures seem less grim :P I also gotta love the balls out end with the drums there, nice little touch. Although I wish it actually ended better. I mean like with a big cymbal crash or the like. EIther way though, this is excellent. Good job mate!

Shanath responds:

Haha, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review.
